Student Wellbeing

Throughout the pandemic, students have experienced the social-emotional effects of the loss of social support, disruptions to education, and health issues of loved ones. School leaders and educators must anticipate and respond to widely varying student mental health needs amid the return to in-person learning. This includes making equity part of the recovery process to address social-emotional needs of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) students, as well as LGBTQ+ students.

One way to support students and staff is through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). Following are resources from experts and districts that have taken the lead in SEL and other mental health supports.
